Mum's Post Breast Cancer Op Results... not good...
Last week, on Tuesday, mum went in to have a lumpectomy, where they removed a lump from her breast, along with three lymph nodes for testing. The surgery was a success and the doctors anticipated that in 6 weeks she’d have a dose of radiotherapy, and we’d be done with it.
Not so.
Today the test results on the lymph nodes showed that of the three, two are cancerous. This means the cancer has spread from the breast. This means chemotherapy. I need to read some more. But mostly I just need to hug my mum. I’m scared.
