Thoughts on blogging and my kids.
for my own blog. I was toying with the idea of starting a blog to do with two of my favourite things. Social Media, and kids. I think it’s an interesting mix. Abs has her own email account now, and she just loves chatting with family and receiving and sending emails. I wonder how many other tiny bloggers there are? What resources are available to them? What are the special hurdles and rewards? It’s definitely a fascinating area, and I wonder if an entire blog could be devoted to it. Some idea for blog posts: best places for kids to blog, security, chatting, private or public, etc. If blogging is too small a topic, then I’m certain that I could devote a blog to kids on the internet in general.
Another thing I’ve been thinking about today is how much I enjoy “Mummy Abby Day.” It’s nice to get out with Abs, have lunch, play at the playground, shop and just generally goof off with my favourite little girl. Next year she’ll be at school 5 days a week, and so we’ll no longer get our regular weekly date. I’m sure going to miss it. Next year will be largely devoted to Mika. He’ll have two full days of creche each week, but that still leaves three days a week with just me and him. I hope to spend time on preparing im for kinder in 2010, and basically just strengthening our relationship. Although, of course, him being my son and my youngest, we already share a special bond.
